After defeat at the end of the first film, Black Manta returns and swears vengeance on Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. Finding more power than ever as wielder of the mythical Black Trident, he reigns fury down on Atlantis in a supercharged sequel where the half-human/half-Atlantean hero faces his greatest challenge… not only this villain, but now as a ruler taking his place on the throne and also as a father.

To defeat this adversary once and for all, Arthur needs as much help as he can get. He decides to form an unlikely alliance with his brother Orm, who was once the king of Atlantis himself. The half-brothers must set aside their differences and work together to save the world from its destruction at the hands of Black Manta.

Returning for the sequel, James Wan directs from a screenplay he cowrote with returning writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, and Jason Momoa, who in turn of course returns to his lead role. It’s a reunion onscreen as well as off as Momoa is joined by co-stars Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, Dolph Lundgren, and more. After the incredible success of the original hit, expect a thrilling, visually-stunning dive back into the waters of Atlantis for a story of leadership, adventure, and family.
