The trailer for the highly-anticipated film from the creatives behind the Paddington films turns back the clock on the beloved Roal Dahl character with Timothée Chalamet starring as an ambitious young entrepreneur who’s desperate to make a name for himself. But the chocolate shop of his dreams can’t become reality unless he can outsmart an executive group of greedy chocolate makers who stamp out any sign of competition. The story of the early life and rise of the iconic Charlie And The Chocolate Factory character looks nothing short of sensational as exotic animals roam the streets, chocolates make people fly, and rivers flow with chocolate in a trailer that promises a magical, musical adventure made of pure imagination. And the cast is the stuff of dreams, too. Chalamet is joined by a who’s who of British acting talent as Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Matthew Baynton, and Olivia Colman all feature in the trailer. Though it's already looking like a tiny, orange-skinned, green-haired Hugh Grant will be stealing this particular show as the first Oompa Loompa Wonka meets. The sweetest of origin stories reveals how the world’s greatest inventor, magician, and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today in cinemas December 8.
