The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping Trailer
A new chapter begins. An epic trailer for the latest Hunger Games film teases the dawn of a different games.
Rewinding the clock twenty-years before Katniss Everdeen's saga, this adaptation of Suzanne Collin's prequel novel – once again directed by franchise stalwart Francis Lawrence – chronicles a defining moment in Hunger Games history: the infamous Second Quarter Quell. Returning to a world on edge, preparing for the most brutal games yet, the trailer introduces Joseph Zada as a young Haymitch Abernathy, long before he became Katniss’ mentor made famous by Woody Harrelson. More familiar characters are also present, though played by an exciting new cast, including Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, formerly Elizabeth Banks; Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, formerly Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, formerly Stanley Tucci; and Ralph Fiennes’ President Snow, who was not only brought to life by Donald Sutherland but also by Tom Blyth in The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes. Twice the tributs means even more players and the likes of Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, Kelvin Harrison Jr, and Glenn Close complete a stacked ensemble. The countdown has begun. The 50th Hunger Games begin in cinemas November 20.
