Sporting the iconic dreadlocks and distinct patois, the British actor becomes Bob Marley for this authentic retelling of the reggae pioneer’s life, his rise through turbulent social conditions, his personal struggles with superstardom, and legacy as a beacon of peace. Furthermore, cinema's very first Bob Marley biopic, from King Richard director Reinaldo Marcus Green, has the seal of approval from the Marley family, with the reggae legend’s son Ziggy, daughter Cedella, and widow, Rita, all serving as producers.
