Get ready for temptation, trouble, and a twist you won’t see coming in a love tale of yore. The trailer introduces Olivia Colman as a lonely fisherwoman longing for her perfect catch. Her wish is granted when the local Basketmaker, played by Peter Dinklage, crafts a man from wicker just for her. Alexander Skarsgard transforms into the woven prince charming whose warmth, handsomeness, and prowess gives his new bride everything she dreamed off – and then some. But his arrival stirs unrest in the village: jealousy among the women, insecurity among the husbands, and whispers about whether this perfect couple should be allowed. Directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston, who also adapted the screenplay from Ursula Wills’ acclaimed short story The Wicker Husband, Wicker boasts an outstanding ensemble cast where award winners Colman, Skarsgård, and Dinklage are joined by Elizabeth Debicki, Richard E. Grant, Nabhaan Rizwan, Marli Siu, and Ella Bruccoleri. Wicker comes to cinemas October 30.
