He stars as George Hardy, a passionate shepherd who reads murder mysteries to his flock every night. When his peaceful life ends in tragedy and he becomes the centre of his own whodunnit, his sheep band together to shear away the secrets and uncover the truth behind his death.

Jackman is surrounded by A-listers, with Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, and Emma Thompson all residents in this once-ordinary village. And then there’s the voices of the sheep… did we mention they can talk? Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein, and Rhys Darby round out an ensemble that’s hard to bleat!

After years in the animated worlds of Despicable Me, Minions, and more, director Kyle Balda steps into live-action for the first time with a very different creature – one the whole flock can enjoy.
