Worlds of adventure unlocked. Childhood dreams reborn. Simon Farnaby – the BAFTA-winning screenwriter of the Paddington sequels and Wonka – conjures more movie magic with a spellbinding adaptation of Enid Blyton’s beloved children’s books. The trailer introduces Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield as Polly and Tim, parents forced by circumstance to leave their London home and relocate with their three children to the remote countryside. There, the children stumble upon a wondrous tree that opens the door to extraordinary, lifechanging stories. Favourite characters that have charmed generations come to life, with Nicola Coughlan as Silky, Nonso Anozie as Moonface, Jessia Gunning as Dame Washalot, and Dustin Demri-Burns as Saucepan Man whisking them away on adventures that offer healing as well as wonder. Yet excitement comes with peril: Rebecca Ferguson cuts an ominous presence as Blyton’s fearsome baddie, Dame Snap. A cast that’s nothing short of enchanting also features Mark Heap, Oliver Chris, Sir Lenny Henry, Sir Michael Palin, Sir Simon Russell Beale, and Jennifer Saunders – all breathing life into Blyton’s timeless characters.
