The First Omen Trailer
There’s lots to fear in the creepy first look at The Omen origin story.
The Omen is an icon of its genre, a terrifying story that follows a husband and wife who adopt a son who, after a series of ominous events, is revealed to be the son of the Antichrist. This new film, from Brand New Cherry Flavour director Arkasha Stevenson, serves as a prequel to the 1976 original, though not too much of the story is revealed in a short but no less terrifying trailer. The First Omen follows the story of a young woman who goes to Rome to fully commit to the church, but soon faces the emergence of a deadly evil. The trailer itself is more of a tone-setter for the film, combining some strikingly scary images with a haunting score, plus a look at the exciting cast led by Servant’s Nell Tiger Free alongside Bill Nighy, Ralph Ineson, and Sônia Braga. The First Omen looks set to deliver another chilling chapter in one of cinema’s most famous horror stories in cinemas April 5.
