This Is The Way
New war, old foes. The big screen spells big trouble for the galaxy’s top bounty hunter and his beloved companion, blasting them into a thrilling adventure against scattered forces of the Empire.
Words Adam Matulewicz
An infant of Yoda’s kind and a gun for hire aren’t the likeliest duo to defend a galaxy far, far away, but together The Mandalorian and Grogu stand as the New Republic’s only hope as Imperial warlords emerge to end the peace won by the rebellion.
In their big-screen debut, the duo are hired by the New Republic to seek out known remnants of the Empire before Palpatine’s legacy can be rebuilt. But with a blaster in one hand and the fate of the galaxy in the other, Mando must dodge stormtrooper fire, take down AT-ATs, and navigate a criminal underworld ruled by the Hutts, all while preventing the return of dark forces.
Pedro Pascal is back in the sacred Mandalorian armour, with Grogu by his side, starring as himself. Sci-fi legend Sigourney Weaver joins the saga as Colonel Ward, while The Bear’s Jeremy Allen-White voices Jabba’s son, Rotta.
Strap in for hyperspace as Star Wars makes its sensational return to cinemas for the first time in six years with a throwback adventure bursting with enough intergalactic beasts, blaster fire, and big-screen spectacle to make even a Jedi spill their popcorn.
The Story So Far…
We first meet The Mandalorian in the streaming series, where lone bounty hunter Din Djarin is tasked with capturing an asset for Imperial Remnant leader Moff Gideon. The asset turns out to be a Force-sensitive infant named Grogu. Though Din initially delivers the goods, he chooses instead to rescue the child and return him to his own people, the Jedi. Together, Mando and the now-beloved “Baby Yoda” travel the galaxy, eventually encountering a young Luke Skywalker, who takes him under his wing. Grogu chooses the way of the Mandalorian over the Jedi and later joins forces with fellow Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze to reclaim their ancient home planet Mandalore. After a stand off with Moff Gideon, they release the planet from the clutches of the Imperial Remnants.
