Somewhere in Britain between 500 and 1600 AD, Queen Dagan has inherited the throne from her tyrant father and now rules the kingdom. Young, inexperienced, and about as self-centred as they come, she  enjoys all of the spoils of being a ruler, but hasn’t really got a clue what she’s doing.

Her not-so-loyal subjects have had enough and led by rebellious ringleader Humble Joan, with a little help from the traitorous Leofwine, they claim the crown.

Her castle invaded and throne lost, Queen Dagan escapes with Shulmay, one of her servants and now the only person she can trust, and embark together to raise an army willing to help her win back her crown.

But allies are hard to come by in a kingdom that scores you bottom of their ranking of favourite monarchs. Queen Dagan’s epic quest for justice becomes a journey of self-discovery as every bit of wild adventure and hilarious interaction with every peasant, pauper, and peculiar royal they meet bring a new outlook on her leadership.

Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood leads an ensemble cast as Queen Dagan, with BBC Ghosts’ Lolly Adefope as Shulmay, Britcom royalty Jessica Hynes as Leofwine, and Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicolas Coughlan as Humble Joan. Nick Frost, James Acaster, Paul Kaye, John Macmillan, and more are also along for the wild ride in this  medieval twist on the classic road movie with a cast for the ages.

Hilarious History

Monty Python And The Holy Grail

King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, the Black Knight, and those who say "Ni!", French Taunters, and a Killer Rabbit - no part of Arthurian legend is safe in Monty Python's playful, unforgettable, and endlessly quotable parody.

The Favourite

It's strange times in Stuart-era England in Yorgos Lanthimos' sensational satire of the period drama that stars Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, and Olivia Colman as Queen Anne, who's quirky to say the least.

Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans

The Horrible Histories crew hit the big screen with an all-star cast, where Nick Frost also features, in their audacious family adventure that hilariously pokes fun at the conflict between Celts and Romans.
