Double Or Nothing
The game isn’t over! Are you ready for round two? This time it’s killed or be killed – whether you’re ready… or not.
Words Robb Sheppard
Everybody wants to rule the world. But who’s actually willing to scratch, claw, and kill for it? That’s the brutal end game for four nefarious families in this frenzied follow-up to 2019’s killer horror-comedy.
Hide and seek with your murderous in-laws is child’s play compared to what’s coming. The stakes are even higher as our heroic scream queen finds herself up against a cult-like High Council hell-bent on becoming the big bosses. With each family competing for the winning kill and world domination, the knives are out, the guns are locked and loaded, and the swords are sharper than ever.
Samara Weaving returns to the fray, joined by onscreen sister Kathryn Newton for double the trouble. A new nightmarish game brings new players, including Elijah Wood of The Lord Of The Rings fame, iconic horror filmmaker David Cronenberg, and Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar. Speaking of directors, co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are fresh off of Scream VI and never ones to hold back on the bloodshed.
Get ready for plenty of it as the best sequel title contender Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come paints cinema screens red.
Deadly Games
Saw
“Do you want to play a game?” Usually the last words Jigsaw’s victims hear before he puts them through their paces in perilous puzzles. All in the name of appreciating life, apparently.
The Hunger Games
To keep the people repressed, tributes fight to the death for their district in this dystopian saga. The odds are rarely in their favour – least of all in a new game beginning later this year in Sunrise On The Reaping.
The Purge
When the annual Purge comes around, things get gruesome fast. A wealthy family must defend their home and fight for their lives on a night when everything is legal and anything goes. Home Alone, this is not.
