The makers of some of the most popular animated films in recent memory – Minions, Despicable Me, Sing, The Secret Life Of Pets, Migration, and two record-shattering Super Mario Bros. films – are back, presenting their latest invention: an original love story with an extraterrestrial twist. The trailer introduces us to Joe, voiced by Timothée Chalamet in his first-ever feature-length animated film. He’s a rocket mechanic who quietly crushes on brilliant astro-botanist Fran, voiced by Selena Gomez, who’s busily working on the world’s first-ever plant-fuelled rocket. After an awkward meet-cute, something sparks between them, but any chance of things going much further is complicated by the crash-landing of three fugitive aliens. British comedic actors Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetrious voice Dunk, Welly, and Shirm, the aliens who come in chaos and are eyeing Fran’s brand-new rocket as their only chance to get home. The voice cast is completed by Brett Goldstein, Allisson Janney, and Lamorne Morris. Not Alone lifts off in cinemas March 26.
