Get ready for an all-new gaggle of laughs in an animated family adventure from the creators of Minions. When the Mallard family finally persuade overprotective husband and father Mack to take them on a much-needed holiday, their trip takes on more turbulence than they could have ever imagined.

Taking flight from the miserable winter weather at their New England pond bound for tropical Jamaica, the Mallards soon find themselves in trouble when they wind up in New York City instead. A few feathers are ruffled when they realise they’re the only family heading in the wrong direction. As everyone else heads south, this family has flown north.

Join Mack, Pam, Gwen, Dax, and Uncle Dan as they flock together for a winter like no other. As danger ensues, they must work together to survive every bump in the clouds along the way as they encounter new friends and foes – from Erin the friendly heron to Chump, the leader of a New York pigeon gang.

From writers Bejamin Renner and Mike White, the creator of School Of Rock and The White Lotus, the new Illumination Entertainment animation for all the family promises an exciting and frivolous journey with emotional truths and test of family bonds and friendships.

Meet The Mallards

Big stars lend their voices to this loveable family of birds with Kumail Nanjia as the cautious, protective patriarch Mack, Elizabeth Banks as the more daring matriarch Pam, and Danny DeVito as grumpy Uncle Dan. Alongside them, young stars Caspar Jennings and Tresi Gazal voice the adorable Mallard duckling duo. The exciting cast line-up doesn’t end there as more famous names appear as the quirky assortment of animals they meet as they flee the nest for adventure. Awkwafina and Carol Kane star as the aforementioned Chump and Erin, while Keegan-Michael Key voices a lonely Jamaican parrot living in Manhattan and David Mitchell features as the leader of an unusual farm.
