Welcome to roarball, the all-animal, action-packed sport where it’s survival of the fittest.

But it isn’t just a game, it’s the heartbeat of the streets and for kids like Will – a scrappy young goat voiced by Stranger Things breakout Caleb McLaughlin – playing is only a dream.

“Smalls can’t ball.” That’s what he’s always heard. But when injury sidelines a star player, Will’s unexpectedly drafted into the pro league. Now, the rookie finds himself staring down the fiercest competitors in the game. His new teammates aren’t exactly thrilled to have a bleating goat on their roster either.

Nick Kroll brings fire-breathing flair as Komodo dragon, Modo Olachenko; David Harbour is formidable rhino, Archie Everhardt; Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan is self-conscious ostrich, Olivia Burke; and Gabrielle Union leaps onto the court as lightning-fast black leopard, Jett Fillmore.

Will’s determined to prove he’s got game and belongs among the all-stars, but that means he must hold his own in dangerous roarball arenas that range from glacial rinks that crack mid-match to volcanic courts that can swallow you whole – if your opponents don’t first!

With grit, surprising speed, and goat-like stubbornness, Will sets out not only to change the game, but to change how the world sees the underdog.

Could this determined young goat even become the greatest of all time?

What Is Roarball?

Inspired by basketball legend and producer Stephen “Steph” Curry’s own underdog journey, GOAT is a Space Jam for a new era - where elite sports action meets cutting-edge animation and animal athletes take centre court. Roarball is a fictional sport born from the acronym ROAR: Regionally Organised Animal Roundball. It’s NBA intensity, with a wild twist – mixed species, full-contact gameplay in courts that vary dramatically across different biomes. Pre-game tunnel walks, dramatic timeouts, vibrant team gear, and sneakers, the film leans into NBA culture, and real-life “GOAT” contender Curry even makes a cameo as giraffe baller, Lenny Williamson, towering above the competition with signature flair. Book your court side seats to see what this spectacle is all about!
