Forgotten Island Trailer
DreamWorks remind us why they’re a powerhouse of animation with the trailer for their hand-painted visual feast bursting with heart.
A boy and a dragon. An ogre and a donkey. A robot and a gosling. Now meet Jo and Raissa, the latest unforgettable friendship dreamed up by DreamWorks. The trailer for this dazzling new animated adventure introduces two lifelong friends, voiced by Grammy and Oscar-winner H.E.R. and Liza Soberano. They’ve been inseparable since school in the nineties, but after graduation their lives pull them in different directions, and their lifelong bond is at risk of breaking. Everything changes on their last night together when a mysterious portal transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali. Brought to life in the same stunning animation style as Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and The Wild Robot, the island teems with magic, colour, and mythical creatures – some friendly, some not so. But there’s a catch: the longer they stay, the more memories they forget. With time running out, Joe and Raissa must race to find a way back, before they lose each other forever. Featuring an all‑star voice cast also including Dave Franco, Lea Salonga, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng, this celebration of friendship – rooted in Filipino folklore yet universal at heart – arrives in cinemas on October 16.
