Warm up the lie-detector test, check for secret cameras, and make sure you are watching the latest instalment in the franchise: Focker-In-Law!

We’re playing the generation game this November as Robert De Niro’s former CIA agent Jack returns to torture his son-in-law, Ben Stiller’s Greg, in the renewed rivalry that first had audiences howling twenty-seven years ago in Meet The Parents.

This time, however, it’s Greg himself who carries a deep mistrust of a new addition to the circle of trust: his apparently manipulative daughter-in-law, Olivia, played by Ariana Grande. Cue unhealthily competitive cycling, harmful Heimlich manoeuvres, and some characteristically cringeworthy behaviour as the family fight for approval.

For the fourth gathering of Fockers, there’s a whole host of new names alongside the familiar faces. Skyler Gisondo is perfectly cast as Greg’s put-upon son Henry, alongside his Booksmart co-star Beanie Feldstein as the older, more worldly sister. Fresh from Stranger Things is Eduardo Franco and even Owen Wilson gets back in on the action. Wow.

But it’s the age-old rivalry that still gets the loudest laughs with De Niro hamming it up in contrast to his hard-man image and Grande looking like she’s having the time of her life. Go see.

Focker FAQ

Meet The Parents

From breaking bridesmaid’s noses to polygraph interrogations and an over-flowing the septic tank, this first meeting of the Fockers has more than its share of iconic moments. Altogether now... “Could you milk me, Greg?”

Meet The Fockers

The second instalment raised the stakes as strait-laced Jack and wife Dina begrudgingly meet the enlightened “right-on” Focker parents. Dogs flushed down the toilet, back-cracking massages, and second-hand embarrassment aplenty in this unserious sequel.

Little Fockers

Having become a grandfather, Jack eventually entrusts Greg with the patriarchal position in the family. We get thanksgiving mishaps, lots of laughs, and getting a little closer to your Father-in-Law than is actually comfortable. We really can’t print it here.
