Any new Spielberg films sparks excitement, but this one carries more anticipation than ever. Not only because it’s a top-secret project, but because the legendary filmmaker is reuniting with Jurassic Park’s screenwriter David Koepp and returning to the extraterrestrial storytelling he’s defined by, after Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, E.T., and War Of The Worlds. Add to that a starry ensemble cast, and you’ve got one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The brief teaser hints at strange phenomena and secrets hidden from the public, with Josh O’Connor’s character stepping forward as the man determined to expose the truth. Emily Blunt is seemingly possessed by an otherworldly force, while quick flashes showcase supporting roles for Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and Wyatt Russell. Crop circles, eerie alien voices, glowing eyes, and animals behaving unnaturally all point toward another Spielbergian alien-invasion classic in the making. Much remains shrouded in secrecy, but all will be revealed in cinemas on Disclosure Day, June 12.
