Digger has finally been fully unveiled – and so has Tom Cruise’s wildly talked about new look.
The Oscar-winning megastar is almost unrecognisable in the trailer for the new comedy from the two-time Oscar-winning writer-director behind Birdman and The Revenant. The same madcap, high-wire energy that powered Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Michael Keaton-led satire surges through a trailer set in a world on the brink of eco-disaster and that introduces one desperate man determined he’s the hero who can save it. Tom Cruise undergoes a wild transformation into Digger Rockwell: a balding, beer-bellied, eccentric billionaire who launches a chaotic mission to fix the very catastrophe he has caused. As well as acting under one of the most exciting filmmakers in modern cinema, he’s keeping fine company as the lead of an esteemed ensemble including Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Oscar-nominee Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Oscar-nominee Jesse Plemons.
