Something is stirring in our world. It’s the 1990s, in the aftermath of Bumblebee and long before Michael Bay’s series, and different kinds of robots in disguise are emerging for the first time.

The twisted Terrorcon Scourge has come to bring an end to the Transformers as we know them, adding the Autobot insignia to his trophy collection. As this growing fear rises, Optimus Prime must join forces with a new breed of Transformer if the Autobots are to survive their greatest threat yet.

Enter the Maximals, a race of Transformer that take the form of large animals who have long kept themselves hidden in our world. Their leader is Optimus Primal, a giant gorilla robot who seeks help against the Terrorcon threat facing all Transformer, and human, kind.

Peter Cullen is back as the iconic voice of Optimus Prime and leads an exciting new voice cast that includes Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Pete Davidson as Mirage, and Peter Dinklage as Scourge, with Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback starring as the humans caught up in the conflict.

An epic spectacle awaits in a mighty showdown between some of the most powerful Transformers the big screen has ever seen. The Decepticons will look like child’s play after this.

Maximals

They may look menacing, but they’re a peace-seeking Transformer like the vehicular Autobots. Along with their gorilla leader, we’ll also meet Airazor, who adopts falcon form; Cheetor, who looks like a cheetah; and Rhinox, who, you guessed it, is a rhinoceros.

Terrorcons

This race of Transformer is a subgroup of the Decepticons, but even more hostile. They’re terrifying enough on their own, but some say they can combine to form the formidable foe, Abominus.

Predacons

A new villain for the franchise that also take the form of animals, but it’s predators only for this species. You won’t want to stumble across these ancient beings in the wild; they’ve been known to disguise themselves as dinosaurs!
