It’s full steam ahead in 1940s England. The Second World War is raging and a carriage full of evacuees is pulling into a familiar village in West Yorkshire. Among the passengers are siblings Lily, Ted, and Pattie – the new Railway Children.

Return to Oakworth, where now-grown-up Roberta “Bobbie” Waterbury is waiting with her daughter, Annie, and grandson, Thomas, to welcome the trio to safety with their family. But will their stay be as safe and quiet as expected? Life in Yorkshire starts peacefully for the new evacuees, but as they begin to settle into life in their new home, they discover Abe, a young American soldier living out of an old freight carriage in Oakworth Station. Willing to help their new friend, the children embark on a dangerous quest that leads to an adventure like they never imagined.

BAFTA-winning director Morgan Matthews assembles an exciting cast of stars old and new. Beau Gadsdon, Eden Hamilton, and Zac Cudby star as the charming new generation of Railway Children, while Jenny Agutter reprises her role from the beloved original as Bobbie, who’s joined by the familiar faces of Game Of Thrones’ John Bradley and BAFTA-winners Tom Courtenay and Sheridan Smith.

All aboard! An enchanting new family adventure awaits.
