Linda Hamilton is back to her badass best as she reprises her role as Sarah Connor to welcome you to the day after Judgment Day. Technically the sixth instalment of the Terminator franchise, Dark Fate is, in fact, a direct sequel to The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day and ignores the events of Terminator 3, Terminator: Salvation, and Terminator: Genisys. Dark Fate joins Connor as she protects a young woman and child from familiar shape-shifting, liquid alloy killing machines. And it’s during this mission that she’s reunited with Schwarzenegger’s T-800 now living off the grid.

Mackenzie Davis co-stars as the new Terminator-human hybrid sent back in time to protect the girl from Gabriel Luna’s murderous robot assassin. Directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller, Dark Fate also marks director James Cameron’s return to the Terminator franchise as he takes a producer role to oversee the project with high hopes of returning the franchise to its glory days and also kick-starting an all-new trilogy led by new young stars.
