Crocodiles tend to live in rivers, lakes, and swamps. So, you can imagine the shock when the Primm family move into their new home in New York to find a crocodile taking a bath upstairs. But that’s not the biggest surprise of all: this croc also loves to sing!

Young Josh Primm makes the unlikeliest of friends in Lyle, the croc with the voice of a pop star, and the unlikely duo set out to take a bite out of the Big Apple together. But the Primm’s evil neighbour Mr Grumps has other plans and seeks to put an end to this very unique show. Can the Primms make the neighbourhood accept Lyle as one of their own and demonstrate to the world that you can be part of a family even if you have scales?

Canadian pop sensation Shawn Mendes makes his big screen debut and provides his musical talent as the voice of Lyle, with Winslow Fegley, Constance Wu, and Scoot McNairy co-starring as the Primms. The snappy support cast is completed by Javier Bardem as Lyle’s charismatic owner Hector P. Valenti and Stranger Things’ Brett Gelman as Mr Grumps.

Take your seats for an unforgettable trip to the Big Apple, featuring new songs from the writers of some of The Greatest Showman’s greatest hits. It’s time for this crocodile to face the music.

Creative Creatures

Born without the gift of singing, Mumble is the outcast of his waddle. But this persistent penguin wins the respect of everyone with his terrific tapdancing talents in Happy Feet.

Johnny

Taron Egerton has certainly got some chops, not only proving his musicianship in Rocketman as Elton John, but also alongside Buster Moon and co as the musical mountain gorilla who overcomes his fear to become the star of the show.
