Ever since its epic debut, the John Wick franchise constantly raises the stakes with each new entry by giving its lead star endlessly creative ways to dispatch assassins and unique scenarios to do it in. The thrilling fourth chapter only continues this trend as John faces off against Bill Skarsgård’s baddie, The Marquis de Gramont, who offers him a tempting way out: earn your freedom in gruelling one-on-one combat.

Luckily, the titular Boogeyman will have returning allies Ian McShane’s Winston, Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King, and Lance Reddick’s Charon back in his corner, all of whom remain committed to helping him find a way out from the High Table’s shadow. Newcomers Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada bring a breath of fresh air to the up-close action, while also testing John’s skills like never before with their real-life martial arts knowhow. It’s East meets West at its very best!

John was almost left a broken man at the end of his last chapter, now he has help on his side and the benefit of people thinking him dead. From Paris to New York, John Wick: Chapter 4 promises to be the series’ most explosive and globe-trotting instalment yet.

Target Practice

Shimazu

After kicking ass as Scorpion in Mortal Kombat and killing it aboard the Bullet Train, Japanese screen legend and real-life martial artist Hiroyuki Sanada joins the John Wick franchise, but it’s still to be seen whether he’s friend or foe.

Caine

IP Man’s own Donnie Yen finally lends his physical talents and charisma to the world of John Wick. He plays Caine, a blind high-ranking High Table assassin and former friend of John Wick. They’ll both fight in in the Gun-Fu match up of the century.

The Marquis de Gramont

After killing High Table golden boy Santino on neutral ground in Chapter 2, a power vacuum opened up that was swiftly filled by The Marquis de Gramont. Portrayed menacingly by Bill Skarsgård, he and John will duel to the death.
