Magnet mayhem, furious family reunions, and even the final frontier! Fast & Furious 9 has it all as the new trailer sees The Fast Saga go faster and more furious than ever.
Since its humble street-racing beginnings, the Fast & Furious films have evolved into a box-office behemoth that’s almost exclusively about pushing the action envelope as fast and furious as possible. Just when you thought things might start slowing down, the new trailer for the ninth instalment speeds in to show that yet again its shifting into a higher gear. The frantic and non-stop trailer promises a blockbusters that’s got everything: from flying cars and rocket cars to magnet mayhem, Fast family reunions, dramatic reveals, and even Helen Mirren taking a spin behind the wheel of a supercar. There’s more enjoyable chemistry between franchise favourites and more footage of frenzied fight sequences between Vin Diesel and John Cena as Dom has a less than friendly reunion with his estranged brother Jakob. But the best, and biggest, bombshell is saved for last as the trailer’s final moments reveal that the Fast franchise will be finally going where it’s never been before: space. That’s right, after all the years of action, the final frontier was the only one left to conquer and it looks like this time it will be as we see Tyrese Gibson’s Roman and Ludacris’ Tej in DIY spacesuits in a rocket car readying for launch. Whether they make it or not will only be revealed when Fast & Furious 9 comes to cinemas this June.
