We catch up with the titular doll as she’s seemingly safely stored behind an inch of toughened glass, a locked door, and a priest’s holy blessing. But it isn’t long before she’s breaking out and back to her usual tricks as a young girl unwittingly unleashes the terror once more. The Conjuring’s Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as Ed and Lorraine Warren and find themselves facing their scariest encounter yet as Mckenna Grace joins the cast as their ten-year-old daughter who becomes the latest target of the possessed doll. Annabelle Comes Home follows Annabelle: Creation as the third instalment of the Annabelle franchise and marks the directorial debut for Gary Dauberman, the screenwriter of the past two Annabelle films, IT, and The Nun.
