1916. As war rages on the Western Front, the Choral Society in Ramsden, Yorkshire has lost most of its men to the army. The Choral's ambitious committee turns to a new chorus master, Ralph Fiennes' Dr Henry Guthrie, who teaches the community to heal by making music together in a feel-good wartime drama written by BAFTA and Tony-winning playwright and screenwriter Alan Bennett.
