Samson, a scruffy street dog always on the run from dog catchers, stumbles into the opulent halls of the Metropolitan Opera one fateful day. Seeking refuge, he wanders into the heart of the prestigious theatre, where he encounters Margot, a refined French Bulldog who belongs to Anastasia, the opera's famed prima ballerina. But trouble brews when the opera's most coveted accessory - the tiara once owned by the Queen of Great Britain, which Anastasia must wear in the fourth act of Carmen - is stolen from the dressing room. Without the tiara, Anastasia's performance cannot go on, and the evenings show is in jeopardy.
