Stephen Graham and Dave Johns don the lycra in the first poster and trailer for wrestling comedy
As veteran wrestler Trevor Bolton and his doting son Marj, Johns and Graham strike a convincing father-son-duo in the joke-laden trailer for what looks like a truly classic British underdog story. When their local pub is threatened with closure, they decide to reunite with their legendary '80s wrestling troupe and return to the ring to save their pub by putting on the greatest show of their lives.
Jill Halfpenny, Sue Johnston, Lindsey Coulson, Julian Sands, Jason Flemyng, Stephen Tompkinson, Michael Socha, and Scroobius Pip complete a British ensemble. The hip-hop artist/poet isn’t the only musical connection to the film as the soundtrack features a new version of Rick Astley’s Walk Like A Panther along with music from Adam & The Ants, The Coral, The Housemartins, Kasabian, Lightning Seeds, Miles Kane, and Spandau Ballet.
