Ishana Night Shyamalan employs all of her father’s tricks of the trade with a mysterious trailer that’s light on detail and all the more thrilling and stake-raising for it. It introduces Dakota Fanning as Mina, an artist who embarks on a trip into the Irish wilderness only to soon find herself trapped in an otherworldly nightmare. Lost in the woods, a door opens from seemingly nowhere and she’s invited in where three strangers wait inside. They explain that alien creatures are watching them from the other side of a two-way mirror and following their rules is the key to survival. Mina isn’t set on staying put and sets out to solve the mystery of whether this is truly an extraterrestrial trap or some kind of mad social experiment.
