The Dog Stars trailer sets Jacob Elordi on an adventure at the end of the world.
He already has some of cinema’s most iconic sci-fi films to his name, and now legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott turns to Peter Heller’s acclaimed dystopian novel as inspiration for his latest epic adventure. The trailer drops us into the aftermath of an epidemic that has wiped out most of humanity. An almost empty world Jacob Elordi’s Hig patrols from the skies in a battered old airplane, his only real companion his ever-loyal dog, Jasper. On the ground, Josh Brolin’s Bangley serves as his steadfast point of contact. A chance encounter with a fellow survivor played by Margaret Qualley sets him on a path toward healing – offering him a way to confront his trauma and for a way forward in a ruined world. But in an apocalypse where danger lurks at every turn, moving forward is anything but simple. The Dog Stars takes flight in cinemas August 28.
