Bringing one of Stephen King’s scariest short stories from page to screen, the trailer opens on two grieving sisters, Sadie and Sawyer, in a therapy session in the hopes of alleviating Sawyer’s fear of the dark. Despite assurances from her older sister, their therapist father, and the psychologist hired to help them following the death of their mother that monsters aren’t real, the sinister presence that Sawyer believes has crept into their home is very real and it cannot be ignored. With their father so consumed by his own grief and his work, the evil entity grows stronger and now begins preying on them. Now, they must repair their relationship or else they'll suffer the same terrifying fate that afflicted one of their father’s patients, played by David Dastmalchian. With the legendary scares of its source material, Host director Rob Savage at the helm, and a script from the co-writers of A Quiet Place, plus a trailer that promises a real chilling atmosphere and plenty of jump scares, The Boogeyman is firmly set as one of the year’s most highly-anticipated horrors. The nightmare begins only in cinemas June 2.
