The first look at the follow-up to the animated sensation saw how can-do koala Buster Moon and his assorted band of animal performers would be returning to cinemas for a new adventure where they’ll create a brand-new, far bigger show in the big city. The trailer also revealed that in order to do so, they would need to convinced retired rockstar Clay Calloway back to the stage, with none other than Bono voicing that character. Now, the spectacular new look at the film brings a better look at the music icon’s first cinema appearance as the broken-hearted musician who shut himself away following the death of his wife, and that Buster and co manage to coax him back into the spotlight to entertain adoring fans with a heartfelt rendition of, what else than, U2’s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. Bono’s Clay Calloway is a big presence, but there’s plenty of room in the trailer’s spotlight for fan-favourite supporting characters who are facing all-new challenges in this new adventure. The trailer brings new footage of Matthew McConaughey’s Buster Moon, Scarlett Johansson’s Ash, Tori Kelly’s Meena, and Taron Egerton’s Johnny, who’s wrestling with self-confidence and hoping to prove himself to a cruel new choreographer and overcome his fears to contribute to the troupe’s biggest show yet. Warm up your vocal chords and get ready to sing your heart out all over again, Sing 2 is coming to cinemas January 28.
