The latest white-knuckle action vehicle for Gerard Butler sees the Angel Has Fallen and Greenland star take the role of Captain Brodie Torrance, a commercial pilot whose skill and courage saves his passengers and crew from certain death when he successfully lands his crashing plane on an island. But the trailer reveals that the crash was only the beginning as the survivors are out of the storm, but into the firing line of a local rebel militia who take them hostage. Still feeling responsible for all of their lives, Brodie sets about saving them, but he can’t do it alone. He turns to Mike Colter’s Louis Gaspare, a mysterious accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI on Brodie’s flight, and they form an unlikely team to take the fight to the dangerous rebels and ensure everyone makes it off of the island alive. Fasten your seatbelts, Plane takes off in cinemas January 27.
