The Chucky concept gets an upgrade to introduce a fresh face in terror in the trailer for the new horror from James Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring franchises, and Blumhouse, the producer of the Halloween films, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man. The super creepy trailer introduces brilliant roboticist Gemma who has suddenly gained custody of her eight-year-old niece after the tragic death of her parents. With no knowledge of parenting and facing mounting pressure at work, she decides to pair her niece with her one-of-a-kind invention, an eerily life-like A.I. doll developed to be a child’s best friend. She can listen, teach, and dance, but when M3GAN begins to break beyond the boundaries of her code, the dream concept becomes a living nightmare as her niece’s new best friend unleashes terror and torment on anyone who tries to harm her new best fried in any way. M3GAN is here and ready to terrify a new generation in cinemas January 13.
