With only a brief teaser to go from until now, we’re in the dark about so much about Indy’s new adventure. Now, a thrilling new trailer sheds a little light on who’s who and what’s in store for the hero archaeologist as he comes face to face with his destiny. Indiana Jones as seen it all, as he ruefully recounts. Tortured with voodoo, shot at multiple times, and, of course, snakes, but the fifth film in the franchise finds our hero dealing with something he’s never had to do before: retire. However, any hopes of hanging up his hat and whip disappear in a flash when his goddaughter, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, brings him in on her search for a lost relic that’s evaded the Jones family for decades. Weaving between past and present, Indy is thrust on a whip-cracking adventure that leads to encounters with new friends and foes, surprising double-crosses, and a reunion with a notorious villain from his past. On a race to find the titular Dial Of Destiny before those who would use it for evil, the epic quest takes them around the world, on land, air and sea. The fifth instalment is purported to be the final ride for Harrison Ford’s hero and an emotional farewell to legacy characters who pass the torch to an exciting new generation. With another iconic John Williams score as the backdrop to an action-packed trailer, it certainly looks like Indy’s going out in style in cinemas June 28.
