They’re back, but life, loss, Thanos, and everything else they’ve endured together has taken its toll on the ragtag team of outsiders in a trailer that prepares you for one last ride and one very painful goodbye. First things first, the new trailer clears up the confusion surrounding Gamora’s return, revealing that this isn’t Gamora back, but a new version of Zoe Saldaña’s character meeting the team for the very fist time and leaving Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill wondering how he’s going to win her heart all over again – that is if Star-Lord hasn’t already developed a crush on Karen Gillan’s Nebula. The trailer also sheds more light on how Chukwudi Iwuji’s High Evolutionary fits into this epic and emotional farewell as the crew encounter the man responsible for Rocket’s years of torture as he sets out his plans to create a perfect society. Whether it’s grown-up Groot branching out with some killer moves, Rocket Racoon reuniting with his otter other half Lylla, or Dave Bautista’s Drax once again living up to his legend as a destroyer, the new footage from the film is as thrilling as it is touching as the family of misfits fight together side by side for the final time. Fans of the comics will also enjoy brief glimpses of Cosmo and Adam Warlock, with Will Poulter bringing the iconic Marvel villain to the big screen.
