The trailer brings Patrick Wilson back to the role of Josh Lambert, husband and father who’s looking to let go of the horrors his family endured in two terrifying films. Since their debut, the Insidious franchise evolved into a much bigger beast with two spin-off chapters, but now we return to where it all began to end the Lambert family’s saga. The trailer introduces now-grown-up Dalton, who’s heading to university with no memory of the terror he suffered at the age of ten. As he dives into the dark past he and his family have supressed, he unwittingly opens the door to the evil spirits. Before he knows it, he’s tiptoeing through the tulips once again in another terrifying chapter. Now, Dalton and Josh must venture deeper into The Further than ever to put old, new, and red-faced demons to rest. As well as starring, Patrick Wilson steps up to make his directorial debut and leading an exciting return for the original Insidious cast members Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne, Andrew Astor, and Lin Shaye. It’s time for the Lambert family to face their demons when Insidious: The Red Door opens only in cinemas July 7.
