Asteroid City Trailer

Wes Anderson returns to America with a whimsical sci-fi comedy that promises to be out of this world, and we don't just mean the cast.

After successful sojourns overseas in Eastern Europe, Japan, and France, Wes Anderson is back on home soil for his eleventh feature film. In his lens this time is science fiction and kitschy fifties Americana, and the trailer sets Asteroid City as the most Andersonian yet. Whimsical, eccentric, and painted with a pastel aesthetic, all of all of Wes Anderson’s wonderful idiosyncrasies are present in a trailer that perfectly sets the stage for a quirky story set in a fictional desert town that’s spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events. And no Wes Anderson film would be complete without a star-studded cast and this might just be the most outrageous ensemble he’s ever assembled. There are the usual suspects: Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Edward Norton, Jeffrey Wright, and Jeff Goldblum; reunions with Isle Of Dogs voice actors now in live-action: Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, and Liev Schreiber; plus a bevy of beloved stars working with Anderson for the very first time: Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Rupert Friend, Matt Dillon, and Steve Carell. All aboard the hype train, destination: Asteroid City, launching in cinemas June 23.
