During a summer visit to her brother's country estate, ageing actress Irina Arkadina introduces her lover, successful novelist Boris Trigorin, to her friends and family, as well as a beautiful and innocent girl from a neighbouring estate, who quickly falls for Boris. Romantic and personal conflicts arise between the dynamic cast of characters as multiple love triangles are formed in this quirky adaptation of Chekhov's stage classic.
