The King's Man Delayed

The Kingsman prequel shifts from September release date

Article Published on 28.08.2020

Although cinemas are gradually reopening across the UK and the rest of the world, Disney has sadly delayed the release of their much-anticipated Kingsman prequel. Directed by Matthew Vaughan, The King's Man is set during World War 1 – long before Colin Firth's Harry Hart and Taron Egerton's Eggsy – and charts the origins of the Kingsman secret service as Ralph Fiennes' experienced agent sets out to stop history's worst tyrants bringing an end to humanity. This isn't the first time The King's Man has faced a delay as it was initially due to release in February this year before being shuffled to September. That first date change was nothing to do with coronavirus, but this fresh delay comes as a consequence of the pandemic's continued impact on the industry. The good news is that unlike Mulan, Disney is committed to the big screen experience and have set a new release date that sees The King's Man arrive un UK cinemas on 26 February 2021.
